Leading By Example
NHBW is committed to leading by example and encouraging all women with children to do the same.
Research has shown that children are great imitators of those closest to them.
As parents, our role is to help children learn to navigate successful through the ups and downs of life.
Mentoring
In addition to providing NWI Girls Club members with strong mentored relationships that develop and emote sound character and judgment, we also expose them to opportunities in and outside their communities that develop their artistic, cultural, and academic knowledge and skills through field trips, guest speakers, and volunteer involvement in community activities and events that build leadership skills.
Retreats
Our semi-annual mentor-lead girls retreats have proven significantly effective in helping NWI Girls Club members open up about sensitive issues that impact their lives and create wholesome bonded friendships.
Life Skills
To ensure continuous outreach and involvement of NWI Girls Club members in achieving their full potential, NWIC collaborates with the Indiana Parenting Institute Rare Voices girls program and collaborations with other community organizations committed to the wellbeing of girls.
Join
We encourage all who become members of NHBW, to join with their daughters and begin early to perpetuate a family history of volunteerism, community involvement, academic excellence, leadership, and self actualization.
Membership in the NHBW Girls Club is open to all girls ages 12 to 17 years without membership dues.
